- Our Story -

After a fabulous 2009, the Flavor of SeattleTM is excited going forward into 2010. The Flavor of Seattle was created to help people like you enjoy the wonderful local flavors and cuisines that the Seattle area has to offer. When you travel abroad particularly in Europe so many of us come back to tell stories of the incredible meals they had in some of the smaller bistros, grottos, and family restaurants. And when we say family restaurants we mean one family not a corporate chain family.

We love the extra service these restaurants give. We love the unique and mouth watering tastes of each meal. But we particularly love the relationships that are built in these types of restaurants and the memories each restaurant provided. Relationships, great memories, fabulous stories, sharing good times - Isn't this what life is about?

Each of the restaurants that are part of the Flavor of SeattleTM understand that great food isn't enough. They understand that great service, creating positive memories and most of all building relationships with you is what the "essence" of a great meal is. These owners live and sleep the restaurant business. Their heart and soul is in their restaurants. For many of them it's their dream come true.

All of these restaurants look forward to seeing you and welcoming you into the club - the Flavor of SeattleTM. If you haven't been to one of these restaurants before please let them know. They want to create a wonderful experience for you and build a relationship for the future. Isn't it great when you can walk into a restaurant, the owners and the staff recognize you, know your name and thank you in advance for coming back? It's like coming home to one big family.

From all of us here at the Flavor of SeattleTM we thank you for joining us in experiencing some of the great great wonders of our area. Bon Appetit!

- P.S. Did you know? -

1) The inherent truth that local restaurants don't really compete with each other. Yup that's true, the national chains ability to buy bigger locations, and spend lots of money on mailers, TV ads and newspaper pages is what really endangers a local neighborhood restaurant.

2) Not only will your taste buds notice the difference, BUT you'll also feel good knowing that 80 cents of every dollar you spend stays right here in Washington, and supports a local small business owner, instead of being sent to a corporate headquarters somewhere in the midwest. The Flavor of SeattleTM "helping you discover the difference a local touch makes." - Enjoy Life
